“Piragua”

Growing up in the Bronx, a teenage boy struggles with identity. 17 years old, and declared a homosexual, but only to himself. During the day he is one of the most popular guys amongst the girls that flood his high school and community, and the alpha dog of his “crew” but during the night he takes trips to the city in search of men to satisfy is homosexual desires and express himself freely. We later find out that the boy is suffering from an STD, and now not only is his own life at danger, but the life of 10+ individuals (men and women) are at risk. Having relations on a daily basis with both men and women, we follow the double life of a troubled teenager in the summer with a deep secret that can cost him his reputation and change his life and the life of others.
The film will contain adult content, emphasis on different cultures„ humorous segments, funky music, exploration of the youth, and dramatic subplots.
